Welcome to Oregon Active
Oregon Active…It’s all about getting out there, trying new things, combining good times with good people.
A diverse group of friends committed to respecting themselves, the environment, and one another.
Oregon Active is a place for like-minded people to share passions, experiences, and ideas about all this great state has to offer.
What is Oregon Active? It means different things to different people… It’s about creating good memories with good friends.
It’s about giving something back.
And because we do all sorts of fun and healthy stuff, your Karma will dig it too..
Just Released - Urban Kayaking Series - Week Two: Willamette Falls - Monday August 25th 6:00 pm
We are proud to present the Urban Kayaking Series. The Urban Kayaking Series was developed to explore, discover, and enjoy the beautiful rivers around Portland. A chance to get outside and try something new..meet new friends.. get off the couch and enjoy the great outdoors during the work week. It’s super casual and we will explore a new waterway each Monday for three weeks straight. So get out there, step off the treadmill and try something new. Click here for more info
Sunday, August 10th White Water Rafting
It's going to be hot this weekend so grab your friends and join Oregon Active and eNRG Kayaking for a White Water Rafting Expedition this Sunday August 10th. We are rafting the North Fork, Santiam River with North West River Guides LLC. We will provide all the river equipment for the adventure (Life Jackets/PFDs, Paddles/helmets, and Rafts), and we will paddle an 8 mile stretch of river with class II-III rapids. It is a fun splashy float through rapids like Swirly's, Carnivore and Spencers Hole. We will take out after Mill City Falls where we have several local food options within walking distance (my favorite being a pizzaria). We will also provide snacks in the form of clif bars, but we recommend you getting a good night sleep the night before, and being hydrated- b/c the entire experience makes for a long day. Plan on being back in Portland around 6:30-7pm. Click here for more info

The 2008 Gorge Games Urban Adventure is over and Oregon Active would like to thank all the athletes and volunteers that braved the course on Sunday..It was a brutal 3 hours but everyone finished!! The team of Brendon Troutman, Ryan Stabaugh, and Justin Henry took 1st place with a total of 515 points. The quote of the day comes from Cynthia Howley of team Full Sail..."I'd say the most amazing moment came 3/4 of the way down the Indian Creek Trail, after having completed every other discipline, almost 3 hrs into it, when I looked at my teammates, and we were all (still) running, and I was blown away by the fact of what we had just been able to accomplish physically. That moment was truly proof, for me, that with a centered and balanced mind, and self love, we can accomplish anything."
