 Week # 2 is upon us and this is one of our closest exotic sea/rec kayak excursions to Portland. Come join Oregon Active and eNRG Kayaking as we explore Willamette Falls: A natural waterfall on the Willamette River between Oregon City and West Linn. It is the largest waterfall in the Pacific Northwest and the eighteenth largest in the world by water volume. We will start below the symbolic end of the Oregon Trail and paddle up towards this awe-inspiring waterfall. Learn about the rich history of the Oregon City area and how the falls have changed over the years. Paddle past salmon fisherman, the Blue Heron paper mill, and a PGE hydro power plant to find yourself humbled at the foot of the entire Willamette river pouring over a forty-foot basalt ridge creating a waterfall of immense proportions.When: 08/25/08Where: Willamette Falls |
