Youth Explorers Geocaching

Geocaching is an outdoor activity using a Global Positioning Device (GPS) in order to find specific items in a specific location. Oregon Active brought the young explorers out to Mt. Tum Tum in Amboy, Washington, and split them into teams for a little friendly competition. Trekking around the mountain and working as a team, they used navigational techniques to find the hidden “caches” which had hidden treasures. Afterwards we prepared an awards ceremony and BBQ dinner.
